 Barbara Durno is a marimba builder and educator who lives in the lower mainland.  She has been building marimbas for over 10 years and has been teaching marimba music in schools for a great deal longer.  Her instruments can be found in schools and homes throughout the lower mainland as well as in the interior of BC.  She has degrees in music and education and has studied with marimba-educator and builder notables Walt Hampton and Tom Bourne.
